Laumulistasamsteypan (The Sneaky Art Association) is a twofold phenomena, a summer camp for restless artists and an artist collective. The summer camp takes place annually in Hrísey, a remote island in Iceland, where a group of artists gather for a collaborative residency program.
The artist collective, The Laumi Hat, comprises all the artists that have taken part in the summer camp and currently includes over 40 international artists. The Laumi Hat functions as a platform for its members to embark on new quests and collaborations in different contexts.
Laumulistasamsteypan is founded and run by Ásgerður Birna Björnsdóttir (artist), Helena Aðalsteinsdóttir (artist and curator) and Arna María Kristjánsdóttir (artist and prop maker) and has been operating since 2014.
